Mark's journey in sport started young, with a childhood filled with competitive football, running, rugby, and tennis. That early love for sport led to university, where he obtained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Sport Performance Analysis and then a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise. This experience gave Mark a wide grasp of what was needed for people to reach their athletic potential.
After battling back from an ACL reconstruction, Mark redoubled his passion for exercise and training. He completed a sub 3-hour debut marathon, followed up with 6th place at his debut Ultramarathon - a 106km loop of the Isle of Wight - and then ran his first HYROX Open Doubles in sub 1 hour, all in the space of one year. It was during this period that Mark shifted from just chasing personal goals to helping others achieve their own.
Now, alongside his own competitive pursuits in running and HYROX, Mark coaches clients to build lasting strength, endurance, and confidence — with programs grounded in science, personal experience, and a genuine belief in sustainable progress.
"At 316 Performance, it’s about more than just fitness — it’s about unlocking that hidden potential and achieving goals that were once deemed impossible".
